Remember

There are many different museums, public programs, and individual projects created to preserve the legacy of Holocaust victims and survivors. This section of the site provides a place for you to commemorate your connection to the Holocaust.

General Resources

Stolpersteine

Stumbling Stones, in English, is a project created by Gunter Demnig, placing brass plaques in front of the previous residences and/or places of work of Holocaust survivors and victims. The plaque has information including the name, date of birth, and their fate - deported, murdered, or arrested.

The USC Shoah Foundation

Created by Steven Spielberg, the Shoah Foundation is one of the largest collections of Holocaust survivor testimony in the world. If you are a survivor, or know a survivor who has not created a video testimony, the foundation is still collecting testimonies, ensuring that no story goes untold.

If You Heard What I Heard

This is a project created for the grandchildren of Holocausts survivors. As a part of the last generation to hear stories of the Holocaust directly from survivors, If You Heard What I Heard gives the grandchildren of survivors a platform to share the stories that they heard growing up.

March of the Living

The March of the Living is an annual project, in which individuals and delegations from around the world travel to march from Auschwitz to Birkenau on Yom HaShoah, the Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day. The march honors all who were murdered making the same march less than a century ago by force of the Nazis.

Holocaust Museum Los Angeles

The Holocaust Museum Los Angeles (HMLA) is one of the oldest Holocaust museums in the nation, educating visitors, students, and law enforcement. The museum also hosts programs for the ancestors of survivors through their 2G Board (for children of survivors) and 3G Board (for grandchildren of survivors). HMLA also has a Teen Advisory Board, a group of students across the LA area leading in education and remembrance efforts.
